At St. George’s (VC) CE Primary School we strive to support all children to enable them to achieve well at school. Quality first teaching is vital; however for some children there are occasions when further additional support may be needed to help them achieve their targets. At St. George’s (VC) CE Primary School all staff take responsibility for Inclusion under the leadership of the SENCo.
SEND Strategy
Kent County Council have published their SEND Strategy. The aim of the SEND strategy is to improve the educational, health and emotional wellbeing outcomes for all of Kent's children and young people with special educational needs and those who are disabled.

On 1st September 2014, the Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a new framework for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) representing the biggest shift in SEN for 30 years. Please refer to the letter from Edward Timpson, Minister for Children and Families – April 2014 below.
All Local Authorities are required to publish information on ‘the Local Offer’ about all SEND services, along with details of any eligibility for specialist services and a signpost to support for those who do not meet thresholds.
